Transitional Counter Stools For Your Kitchen

A very common request for our team, is to source counter stools to complete the look in all of our kitchen renovations. It’s not easy finding the perfect stool that blends comfort, function and style to ease into most spaces. It can be even more challenging if your local showroom doesn’t have a stool in their showroom to sit on. Some common requests we field are depth, back vs no back, wipeable .. and you guessed it, transitional for many design styles.

We’ve done a round up of our most recent finds that check all the boxes. And if you’re not updating a space in your home, maybe it’s simply time to refresh your stools to elevate your surroundings.

Tips for Choosing Counter Stools

1. While upholstered stools look cozy and comfortable, consider the practicality of this. If you’re set on a fabric, opt for high performance or invest in a treatment to protect your fabrics. 2. Stools are a great way to add texture such as leather, woven materials or color. These are all considerations for making your space pop.3. Consider your adjacent spaces and dining chairs that may be nearby. While these do not need to be match match, consider tones and texture for complementary styles. This can be tricky, so inquiring with a local designer (or phone a friend) is always a great next step!3. Make it yours, don’t over think if it’ll fit the space. If you love it, give it a go, in most cases, when not opting for custom, stools can be returned.

Some of the resources we link to may earn us a small commission. For that we are thankful, but would never push items we aren’t truly passionate about, and likely have already given it a test drive.
