Sunday Saves: Cabin Fever No More?
Week of March 1st, 2021
March always marks the unofficial end of Winter, of course Mother Nature usually has a different plan – but looking ahead skies are sunny and temps are warm. With the snow melting, and shedding a few layers, many of us are out and about around town. Could it be cabin fever no more?
Spring Parade of Homes
You may have caught the news on our social feed, we’re on the Parade of Homes Tour. Home #8, one of five featured Dream Homes. It’s a perfect weekend outing (although Thursday/Friday’s are the best days to go with less traffic).
The tour is open to the public and started February 27th, dates and times linked here. Go ahead, make a day or weekend of it by planning out your parade route. All homes will be monitored for number of people inside, everyone required to wear masks and safe social distancing always encouraged.
Additional sneak peeks in our highlights on IG, kath home I, II and III.
Start Planning Your Calendar
Restrictions are lifting, the vaccine is becoming more readily available – NOW is the time to start planning your year. The North Shore was packed and booked all of last Summer, Jesse and I already have our Lake Superior cabin booked for June. An opportunity to get outdoors with our bikes, hiking, grilling, sleeping in and making long term business plans and goals. Linking a 5 day itinerary here.
Did you hear ANNIE is the holiday show for the Children’s Theatre next winter? Tickets are not on sale yet, but we love this annual tradition and will take our teenage kids – a show for all ages. We recommend signing up for their email list to be notified of all events + tickets.
Delta Airlines still has the middle seats blocked, traveling has actually never felt safer + cleaner. I know plenty of front line workers that feel travel is safe to do, if you agree book a trip this Summer or Fall. Take advantage of the travel restrictions and get our and explore a new destination. We have Palm Springs and Cannon Beach on our radar this year. A previous post we did on the Oregon Coast in Three Days here.
Home Decor Trends
As previously noted, our new home is on the Parade of Homes Tour. Furnishing this entire home (and on time) was no small feat. While some items were well thought out and sourced long ago, a few of our last minute finds are getting a lot of attention from parade goers and are easy on the budget. Linking those items here.
Woven Door Console | Upholstered Cube | Rattan Storage Bin
Faux Boxwood Plant | Jute Area Rug | Garden Planter
