Sunday Saves: BTS of Our New Design Offices

It’s Super Bowl Sunday, and our kids are asking why we’re not going to a party or family gathering today. It turns out we’ve got our sights on the weeks and months ahead, we never made a plan.

We’re sharing updates and selections for the new design office, progress is moving along faster than we ever dreamed.

But first, inspiration of the design center and offices here. Pulling in a few things we already own and blending some new items for a comfortable and approachable office where we can welcome our clients each week were critical decision factors.

In the main design center we will reuse the Ikea Fjalkinge shelf and drawer units, that we customized with gold hardware. Our favorite desk chair from Anthropologie, the Elowen Velvet Chair. Mentioned in our Vintage Rug Roundup, the Amara Wool Rug from Loloi Rugs.

Newly installed floors from our partners at ProSource Minnesota featuring Shaw Monument LVP in Atherton Falls Marela. We opted for the LVP over solid hardwood, or engineered since this is a commercial space and with the many deliveries coming and going, the waterproof and durability features sold us.

With several lighting options, we decided on the Large Sigmund Pendant from Regina Andrew Lighting.

Not shown will be existing custom cabinetry painted in Platinum Gray from Benjamin Moore and newly added kitchenette in a neutral wood tone, TBD.

The individual design office space with have a one of a kind vintage rug from Six Vintage Rugs, also highlighted in our recent rug roundup. An off white desk with three drawers, steel base and gold hardware. Newly released lighting fixtures from our friends at Rabbit Creek in Minneapolis, Dottie Medium Flush Mount and Veneto Small Table Lamp.

We grabbed a recent print over the holidays while 20% off from the Jessie Preza collection. These are from her Big Sur collection, reminds us of a calming getaway.

Soon, a custom cabinet to reflect the overall design of this Ikea cabinet in terms of function with open and closed storage, featuring a warm wood stain finish. We’re always in the mindset of creating heirloom pieces, thinking about something that can stay with us for years to come.

The conference room isn’t fully flushed out. But we do know our existing wood conference table is coming with us, and new black wood chairs paired with these Four Hands dining chairs in a Heather Twill fabric. Complimentary prints of our most beloved cabinet installs will adorn the walls along with an old favorite, the Jacqueline Chandelier.

Currently sourcing wallpaper for the wall behind the prints, and possibly an area rug for this space. You’ll have to stay close, as we continue to reveal the finished spaces.
