Sunday Saves: Black Vanity Sconces For Every Design
One of our favorite ways to contrast a neutral bathroom space is using mixed metals, in particular black finishes. Black is a timeless and classic option that can give the space contrast and interest without being overwhelming. You will find black finishes on plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware, mirrors, and now countertops as well. Today we are tackling wall sconces specifically in the bathroom. The below images are examples that black is a very versatile finish and can complement many different design styles from transitional, farmhouse to contemporary.
Westbrook Road
Name: Materia Designs Forchette II Sconce, Natural Porcelain, Blackened BrassA unique handmade light that gives dimension to a space. It creates interest while still staying sleek and simple.

Hale House
Name: Vendome Single Sconce in Bronze. As you can see this sconce plays off the curves in the mirrors. It provides task lighting and complimentary design with all the accessories in this space turning to black.

Country Club
Name: Bryant Sconce in Bronze This transitional sconce pairs well with the gold plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware while giving crisp clean lines. We love the black trim detail on these linen shades for added lift on a white bathroom wall.

Kath House
Name: Pivoting Keeley Wall Sconce These pivoting scones provide ample lighting while allowing the wallpaper in this room steal the show. The white glass defuses harsh lighting, staying with the moody vibe of this space.

These timeless fixtures will complement your home for years to come but if they aren’t your cup of tea here are a few more options that we are loving lately.
Some of the resources we link to may earn us a small commission. For that we are thankful, but would never push items we aren’t truly passionate about, and likely have already given it a test drive.
