Sunday Saves: BizTown to BizCom
Week of October 1, 2019
This week was extremely chilly in Minneapolis. Almost like every other year, it’s been a harsh transition into fall. Every year I feel like time goes by quicker and quicker. We had a great summer that ended with a trip to London and now we are officially into fall. Looking back it was a great summer filled with family time + the outdoors. Now we are patiently waiting for more leaves to start turning colors!

Charlie, Mayor of BizTown
Maybe your child’s class room has this too. With Junior Achievement MN, they combine terms the kids learn in class and pair it with a day-long visit to a simulated town where every kid plays a role in the town, from Mayor, to Restaurant Owner, Bank Operator and much more! The kids of Charlie’s classroom voted him Mayor. I volunteered on Friday so I could hear his speech to his town. So proud of him and I couldn’t help but share this picture of him in his Mayor outfit!

MARTINA Restaurant for dinner
This week we were able to meet friends of ours for dinner in South Minneapolis. We went to Martina in Linden Hills. This is our second time at the restaurant and first time getting food! They have a really fun drink menu + their food is delicious. It is an Argentinian/Italian-inspired menu with all sorts of seafood, meats and pasta. We love being able to slow down and connect with close friends over a meal. What’s your favorite place to eat out in Minneapolis right now?

At night the lighting can get pretty dim, but this picture from Minnesota Monthly is everything you need to see!
Drew Avenue Mood Board #2
Last week we gave you a sneak peek into our Drew Avenue Renovation + Addition. We had great feedback from sharing that with you all last week that were going to share our original kitchen inspiration board for the house.

We hope to have this project completed early 2020 and can’t wait for you to see the end result! We will keep posting inspiration and house updates on Instagram.

Tangle Town Gardens CSA
This week we took some pictures with our friends at our local CSA over at Tangle Town Gardens. We have had such a great first year being involved and we love having fresh vegetables and produce to incorporate into our meals. Next week we are posting a full blog post on our CSA. If you have questions, drop a comment at the end of this post!
5. My Fall go-to outfit right now
I am still LIVING in these pants (The ones I wore everyday in London). I can’t say enough good things about them. Last week I wore them to grab our CSA with a sweater and later all I had to do was change my top for dinner. They go with everything and are so comfortable.
Pants: These Athleta cropped pants are my go-tos. The black are on sale right now!

Sweater: All of my favorite fall sweaters are from Madewell. I am loving this one right now.

Jacket: As you can tell, the temperature is dropping in Minnesota, so I am including the coat I will be wearing this season. Patagonia is one of my favorite brands and it’s eco-mission is awesome.

Scarf: An oversized scarf is part of my uniform in the fall/winter. This one looks so cozy!

Shoes: This might be my favorite footwear brand right now. They make the perfect height wedges and all of the shoes I own are super comfortable. Shop these booties here. Soon it will be time for warm winter boots. As of now I’m wearing these as much as possible!

That’s all for now. Check in next week for our post about our local CSA!
