Powder Bathroom Inspiration
There is no shortage of bathroom inspiration on Pinterest. When we are gathering inspiration for a powder bathroom, my mind immediately wanders to wallpaper. It’s the most simple way to dress up a small space for a huge wow factor.
This week we’re gathering ideas for the powder bathroom in our #countryclub project on Arden Avenue. We created three different looks for this small powder bath.
Using wallpaper in your bathroom is a great way to bring colors into your home. We have done several renovations where we use fun, colorful wallpaper to brighten up the space. Take a look at the three mood boards we created for our client this week. Don’t forget to tell us which one is your favorite in the comments below.

This first bathroom look was inspired by the wallpaper. Our client is doing a very different and modern look in their master bath, so we wanted to be a bit more playful with this space. These arched mirrors are the perfect slice of feminine beauty.
We like this wallpaper because it’s a soft tone packed with detail. The hardware and towel bar goes perfectly with the patterned wallpaper.
The idea behind the lighting was to bring in some contrast. While we love perfectly matching the hardware to the wallpaper, bringing in some contrast to the space gives your eye a break.

The first bathroom look had a lot of cool tones in it, so for the second look we wanted something with warmer tones. We love the look of satin brass in a bathroom, it immediately warms the space.
We also went with hardware that has a more feminine touch. All the hardware has circular posts with bulbs on the end to create a soft look + touch. Loving the idea of a fun mirror in the bathroom, and this bathroom was begging for a circular mirror. The detail on the pivots is the perfect amount of detail. We went with a simple gold mirror because the wallpaper demands enough attention.
When we searched for lighting inspiration for this room we didn’t know what type of sconce we were looking for until we came across this one. The curved arm matches the rest of the delicate details of the space and the scallop detail on top compliments the patterned wallpaper.

For the last look we created something dramatic and moody for our client. The first two looks are flooded with feminine details, so we wanted this last look to have some contrasting masculine tones. The wallpaper is whimsical and normally we would categorize it as feminine, but it’s the most muted patterned out of the three that would silently compliment this space in enormous ways. We debated a gold framed mirror here but we love this in black and think it really makes the room dramatic.
We like the idea of using these black + gold accessories and hardware because if every detail was black, this room would be totally understated. The gold tones bring out the white in the wallpaper and bring the right amount of contrast and warmth to the space.
Which one is your favorite? One, two, or three?
