Sunday Saves: What Inspired Us This Week
Updated: Apr 18
Week of April 6, 2020
With increased time in font of my screen in the past few weeks (so much so I have zoom/screen fatigue), I have been inspired. Finding new accounts to follow on IG, books to read, and if you're following along you know I love to knit (the fibers in my hands and watching colors take shape are ever inspiring), recipes to create, easy in home workouts to help pass the time are just a few. I plan to share some of these with you here. But first...
Kath Home Progress
We're also in the process of building our own home, while we haven't started digging just yet, we're close. Getting close to submitting for our demolition permit to take down the existing house. We're busy selling off or giving away the items in the house that are of value as we can't stand seeing these end up in a landfill. These are perfectly good items for someone else's home. Scroll to the bottom to see our Sustainability Challenge, it's easy to participate and we're giving away seem pretty cool things!
We've also finalized the floor plans, phew. And are busy making all the selections behind the scenes. We're really excited to formally announce our partnership with Monogram Appliances on this project. You'll have to stay tuned to see this take shape.
We're also excited to work exclusively with Jeffrey Court on the tile selections, ProSource Wholesale on all of our flooring needs, and lighting from our friends at Rabbit Creek at the International Market Square to name a few partners.
Nourish Move Love - home workouts
Lindsey is a friend, which made my buy in easier. But I can say after a few weeks of doing her 30 minute workouts, I am SORE. Legs one day, core the next and arms to follow. It feels great to dedicate a solid 30 mutes of my day and know it's impactful. She's putting out weekly workouts with a daily suggested plan, these are great motivation and accountability.
Example of one here:
We've never met, but my team has met Amanda during an industry trip to Palm Springs, and we've become FAST friends over the gram. Her feed is inspirational, and I first came across it after seeing this image on MSP Home Design feed showcasing her Swedish modern farmhouse in Hudson, WI. I stopped my scroll and stared at every detail in this image, give Amanda a follow here!
Knit Love Wool
For the love of knitting, this was a suggested page for me on IG. I am so glad I found it, and have been excited the pattern launch of the #aurealis sweater that happened this weekend. Find the Aurealis pattern here, then hop over to the suggested fiber pages to stock up on the wool needed to make this pattern. So many choices, but I am a sucker for loving what I see, so I ordered the color ways shown here. If this is a success I will definitely try other colors.
