Subway tile is one of the most versatile tiles and can be used in almost any application. It’s roots originate from the New York subway system dating back to 1904, and used in commercial and residential applications. The early design concept wanted a tile that was easy to clean and maintain, while also visually appealing. They settled on a white, rectangular ceramic tile that measured 3×6 inches, and the subway tile was born.

Subway tile is timeless, and can often be a grounding neutral and textural element in any space while allowing other elements to take center stage. Using a variation of this tile can create a mix of design styles, from contemporary, to traditional we’re sharing a few of our recent installations today.
