Mid-Century Scandinavian Owner’s En Suite Bathroom Reveal

So long to the ’90s beige, and hello to a bright and clean lined Mid-Century Scandinavian designed owner’s en suite bathroom. Our team renovated spaces on every floor of this family’s home. We revealed the Whitegate Lane lower level entertainment bar late 2020, a conversation piece ever since.

We are excited to share the owner’s en suite bathroom, a dramatic transformation than the ‘before’ images.

While maintaining a similar layout it feels like an entirely different space.

With cool tile throughout the space a warm white oak vanity makes the double vanity a feature in the bathroom, especially as the first sight as you walk into the room. Clean lines with the black metal base, slab cabinet fronts and minimalist knobs tie into the Mid-Century Scandinavian design of the owner’s en suite bathroom.

Polished nickel plumbing fixtures throughout has sleek, modern straight lines while its visual weight lends to traditional design that will make it timeless.

The white and polished nickel double globe sconces add soft curves to all the linear elements in the owner’s bathroom.

This freestanding bathtub is the definition of smooth. It is made of resin, creating a silky smooth solid surface that feels fantastic to the touch. The soft curves break up all the straight lines throughout the bathroom.

The floor mounted tub filler in polished nickel allowed the bathtub to be centered on the large windows. What an oasis!

The biggest change of this owner’s en suite bathroom is the walk in shower. What was once a closed in shower is now open with glass walls and an open entrance, letting so much natural light flood through the space.

A unique and user friendly element is the separated thermostatic controls and shower head on opposite walls. This allows the homeowners to turn on the water to warm up without getting sprayed with water. A built-out ledge topped with a simple white quartz is the perfect spot for all hair care products.

This shower stall is where the Mid-Century Scandinavian design ties together most. The deep teal ceramic wall tile is Mid-Century while the straight horizontal set brings in Scandinavian minimalism. A small oval hexagon marble shower floor tile ties into other rounded lines throughout the owner’s bathroom.

This end result makes the process to get here worth it. We are excited for these homeowners to enjoy their new owner’s en suite bathroom and custom closet for years to come. Keep your eye on the blog for reveals for the main level laundry and powder bathroom, as well as the lower level entertainment living room and guest bathroom.
