Live In The Details: Arden Avenue Powder Bathroom

We are back this week with another post for our Live In The Details® series! The goal of the Live In The Details series is for us to be a resource to you. When you see something you like from one of our projects, we want to be able to help you recreate the same look by sharing the details with you. Hopefully you are familiar with our Arden Avenue Country Club project by now. We have been slowly sharing mood boards of this space the past couple of weeks to help you visualize the final look.

This week we’re featuring the powder bathroom. Previously, this power bath was a super simple first floor powder bathroom with outdated finishes and lighting. Our client wanted something that stood out with elegant and classic elements. Take a look at the space pre- demolition phase:

The floors have been replaced with engineered hardwood floors in a warm hickory finish. We are saying goodbye to a few other details including the pedestal sink, and saying hello to a petite custom vanity from the Jkath cabinet shop painted in Simply White by Benjamin Moore. This vanity will be completed with a quartz countertop.

We have been getting a lot of DMs about where we source our bathroom selections. While there is no exact formula, as every home and project is different: Take a look at our selections for this powder bath below.

If you have been following us for a while now, you know we love putting wallpaper in powder bathrooms. We are going to keep the wainscoting in this bathroom, just refresh the space with a coat of paint. Our client picked this Ethan Allen moroccan inspired wallpaper to go above the wainscoting. This will give this powder bathroom a complete transformation from before. We love this pattern because it will lighten the space and make it more inviting for guests. You can find this wallpaper here.

We are pairing this wallpaper with the Margaux Collection from Kohler, all selections will be in the vibrant brushed bronze finish.

The final touches of this room will be all the accessories. For this half bath it will be a mirror and light fixture. Take a peek at what we picked out below.

We picked out the Asbury Classic Pivot Mirror. This picture shows it in polished chrome, however, it will be the aged bronze finish for this bathroom.

Above this mirror we will have this Hudson Valley double sconce from their Mill Valley Collection.

Live In The Details® of every space you create. This project is set to finish end of January 2020. Stay tuned for the full reveal!
