High Point Market Design Bloggers Tour

High Point, North Carolina
Jkath is on the go this quarter, finding all things inspirational, near and far. Katie Miller and Kayla were just in Palm Springs for Modernism and I am still recovering from and International trip to Colombia. Before we know it, I will be off again to High Point, NC for the Spring Market. Heading there solo with intentions to be equally inspired for the projects we have ahead this year.
Design Bloggers Tour
I am also honored to be among a group of 10 selected design bloggers to participate in this tour. The lineup is here:

Bari Ackerman | Tiffany Cassidy | Diana Elizabeth | Heather and Matt French | Katie Kath | Chloe Mackintosh | Jewel Marlowe | Samantha Regan | Jen Stanbrook | Karen Wolf
What is High Point
Some of you are veterans and have been time and time again. This will actually be my first time to market, I am so excited and feel so lucky to have the opportunity to go as a featured design blogger. But for those that are in my shoes, High Point is a trade only market that happens in the Spring and the Fall. There are a lot of custom furniture manufacturers in High Point, hence the location, otherwise from what I hear, not much else happens at High Point and it can be a ghost town. The hotels fill up fast, so plan ahead and book early. Good news, High Point has a comprehensive website with a complete concierge service for first timers too.
High Point is full of design inspiration, over 2,000 of exhibitors, designers and architects from all over the country. Over 75,000 people will attend market to see the worlds largest selection of home furnishings, fashion for the home.
Home Furnishings
Here at Jkath we’re excited to take our larger scale remodeling projects a step further as we begin to offer services around furnishings. We’ve loosely worked with clients to ‘complete the look’, but are eager to formalize this process. I’ve always been a tactile person, learning how to sew at a young age, taking up cross stitching in grade school, learning to knit when I was in high school and I still continue to dabble in all of theses areas with my free time. The fibers, textures, patterns are sources of inspiration for me.
With a newly added Interior Designer to our team, we have BIG plans for the year ahead and cannot wait to take you behind the scenes of High Point and implement the new finds into our client work.
Stay tuned, Market kicks off April 25th. For a complete list of upcoming dates, we’ve shared those here. Start planning your next visit.
