Four Projects; One Way of Working

Spring has a way of making people look at their homes differently. The light changes, the windows get opened for the first time in months, and suddenly that kitchen that felt fine in January doesn’t feel fine anymore. We get it, we live here too.

This spring, we’re sharing four new project reveals, and while each one is distinct – different neighborhoods, different scopes, different homeowners with different lives, yet they share something in common. The way we worked through them, how every decision got made, and consistency as the thing we’re most proud of.

Here’s a look at what that means in practice.

Maiden Rock

Every project starts with a conversation about what a home needs to do. At Maiden Rock, that conversation went deep into bringing the outdoors inside. Leaning into as many natural materials as possible, with each one reflecting a piece of art. The intentional collaboration with our client and being invited to make her dreams and new kitchen come true will make this a project we will never forget.

West River Parkway

Location always informs design, and West River Parkway is a perfect example of that. Located on the Mississippi River rich with history and character, preservation was top of mind in this project. There’s a discipline required when the home itself has elements worth working around, a foundation to really good design. Leaning into unlacquered brass finishes, natural quartzite and old timey heritage tile on the backsplash paired with antique glass inside the bar – a true nod to once was.

Lakeview Drive

This Edina project has been a long time coming, and we’re thrilled to finally share it. A while house refresh, while we love a good preservation story, the opportunity to start from scratch doesn’t come around very often. We took it and ran with a new palette for this home infusing materials that feel timeless and understated with longevity in mind. Lakeview Drive is a good reminder of why we work the way we do; always with the long view.

From the Ground Up; Making Room for What’s Next; a new home for the next 20 years!

Oxbow Bend

Custom cabinetry is where our process gets the most personal. At Oxbow Bend, the custom millwork became the backbone of the whole design. Featuring applied molding cabinet doors and a thoughtful custom hood with radius and reeded details. Blending contrasting tones, and a peek of a neutral pastel in the mudroom. When you own your own cabinet shop, you can hold details to a standard that’s hard to achieve otherwise. This project is a good example of what that makes possible.

Four Different Homes
