Drew Ave Project Dining Room and Living Room Reveal
Welcome back to the reveal series of the Drew Ave project! This week we’re continuing through the transformed main level into the dining and living rooms. These spaces were designed for the family to all be together, even if they are utilizing different areas of the room.

Last week we revealed the truly custom kitchen, featuring a showpiece range hood mantel, contrasting island, and special pantry moment. The dining and living rooms share the same space, each room seamlessly flowing together.
Dining Room

Memories are made around the dining table. The nearby kitchen island provides informal seating for snacks and homework, but the spacious dining area is large enough for the entire family and then some to enjoy meals together.
French doors to match the black grid windows lead out onto the front porch, ideal for Minnesotan summer dining or opening up to dine near the rain. The black windows, doors, and finishes stand out against the white tonal walls, trim and window casings.
The engineered hardwood throughout the whole main floor is durable for the family’s kids and dog (see photos below of their cute lab, Cooper) to run through, stand up to spills that are bound to happen, and hide what you don’t want to see.

Living Room

What a gorgeous space this turned out to be! This space is right off the entryway and it sets the tone for the rest of the home. Filled with sunshine, light and airy, and detailed customizations. The Jkath Cabinet Shop team knocked it out of the park again with the custom fireplace surround, mantel, built-in bookcase, and bench.
Remember this home started as a single-story house. The new staircase in the center of the floor plan creates the light division needed throughout the main floor. It also lends as a perfect backdrop for the fireplace wall.

Cozy + Colorful
Layered on top of the neutral palette of finishes, the homeowners selected warm and colorful furnishings and decor in this space. Shoutout to the clients for going for the Samsung Frame TV. It perfectly fits above the fireplace, disguised as artwork when the family isn’t watching movies or sports together.
Keep an eye on the Jkath blog for a Live in the Details® post to get the look on furnishings + decor in the dining room and living room!
