Cozy Living Room Ideas
Now more than ever, we need cozy living spaces. The true essence of what we call home, our end of day, or in current times, our all day sanctuary. When comfort meets function, and has an added bonus of custom design features, it feels like we’ve made it. A deep breath, flop into the sofa pillows, maybe a long nap in front of the fireplace .. all well deserved after this whole house renovation.
We recently shared the second story updates of our #CountryClub renovation here. Taking you behind the scenes of the master bathroom design and the selections that went into making this space new again, with a modern traditional flare.
Complete Customization
Upon our original site visit, our clients hadn’t imagined redoing the entertainment wall. Our team saw this as an immediate opportunity to pull the main floor together, tying the original character of the home to the new addition (which we were now discussing how to improve). We are sharing the process here with before, during and after imagery. It’s worth mentioning in the during phase we removed the ceiling to increase the height of this room. This sits below the master bedroom that was shared in our earlier blog post, linked above.

Collected Items
Styling and staging for a photo shoot can be the best part of a project, seeing the details come together. In this case, our client already owned many treasured pieces we used in combination with a few of our own to create the dynamic shelving decor. It’s always a great opportunity to showcase your recent purchases when traveling, family heirlooms, or occasional family photos. Get rid of the clutter and showcase an appropriate balance of favorite items. The end result may look just like this.

Entertainment Made Easy
The pantry area already held plenty of cabinetry, we refreshed and rebuilt the lower cabinetry in this space, but also added the double undercounter refrigerators from Monogram for accessibility and missing storage needs. All new hardwood flooring throughout the home was a much needed improvement to compliment the other wood elements throughout this space.

Lighting Is Everything
We spent great attention to detail on the lighting plan for this home, replacing all of the light fixtures and adding a few new ones too. We partnered with Rabbit Creek at the International Market Square to source all of our Visual Comfort Lighting.

Powder Bath Refresh
And we cannot forget this adorable powder bath, just off the main floor living space. Whimsical, yet not too feminine, wall covering with complimenting bronze mirror and lighting finishes. A quaint vanity made custom in our cabinet shop to complete the look make this a quick + easy refresh.
