7 Easy Ways to Add Color to Your Renovation
Do you know how we love our neutrals around here, take a look at our favorite neutral paints we rounded up in this post. While whites are fresh and brighten up a room, and quite frankly – timeless, we love finding ways to add texture and pops of color in our home spaces. Today we’re sharing a few easy ways you can do the same to make those white cabinets stand out.

1. Open Shelving
The easiest way to add color, and not have it feel so permanent is through accessories. You can do this easily with open shelving. Evolving your decor with the trends, so you’re always on point.

2. Window Treatments
Have fun with this, go bold or keep it neutral with a delicate pattern. Either way, you’re adding texture and interest with pops of color.

3. Statement Wallpaper
Our favorite way to add color, various wallpapers from calm and cool to heavy patterns and bold statements, we’re here for it.

4. Contrast Wall
Not as popular as they once were, but occasionally we get a client that is looking for a contrast wall. You can accomplish this with paint or with a texture such as shiplap or custom paneling.

5. Area Rug and Throw Pillows
It’s always a good idea to finish the look with something other than a neutral. Consider adding a check, herringbone or a floral pattern into your space with one of these popular patterns.

6. Invest in Your Lighting
Who said lighting had to be boob lights from a big box store? Easy upgrades that go with every space look like a classic linen drum, or you can have fun with it and shop for an antique fixture or something a bit more bold with mixed metals.

7. Cabinet Hardware
It’s a great place to think outside the box. In our Princeton Avenue kitchen refresh, we ordered in wood hardware and had these dipped with the same lacquer finish as the cabinets for a monochromatic look that is both appealing, unique and playful.

Your new space should feel uniquely yours. Spend time on the details, they will stand out and are often the pieces your guests will point out. Give yourself a place you absolutely love!
