4 Design Elements You Can’t Overlook When Refreshing Your Home
Our Adrian Circle whole house refresh is revealed. A year in the making, a patient family, and design elements we think should be considered for every home project. We’re highlighting those 4 design elements today, and why you should take a moment to incorporate these into your home. Special product details revealed for each image below as well.

Pay Attention to the Details
Live in the Details™ is our registered trademark. Our design team takes extra steps to ensure finishes are aligned, character is considered, and a synchronized design plan is in place for each of our projects. Gold elements are not a thing of the past, we continue to select variations of gold as it’s a complimentary design element to a traditional space, with modern inspired elements. Gold is a striking contrast against any backdrop as well. In the kitchen at Adrian Circle, we added brass outlet plates throughout to embrace the outlet covers versus disguising them for a monochromatic vibe. This pulls together the unlacquerd brass bridge faucet by Rohl and the aged brass cabinet hardware, found here.

The custom v-groove cabinets from our cabinet shop are painted in Benjamin Moore Dark Olive. We finished the look with white painted uppers in White Dove, white oak engineered wood floor, and stunning soapstone countertops.
Light Fixtures Over Cans
If you’ve been following Jkath, you know our love for light fixtures. Lighting is an early decision in most of our design projects, while even providing a detailed lighting plan for our clients and electritians to review on site. There are many items to consdier when opting for a fixture; ceiling height, fixture size, finishes, sconce placement, and even lightbulbs – which can make or break a room. The fixtures shown below are the Hackeny Sconces, One Light Semi Flush from Meridian, and the Clark Wall Sconce with linen shade.
The moody painted library is Benjamin Moore Wrought Iron paired with the antler toggle hardware knobs.

Consider Textured Custom Cabinetry
Our cabinet shop, previoulsy mentioned, is where we cut our teeth in the industry. We often customize evey available inch in our projects, and as of late are adding many more textured elements. A rift white oak built in cabinet and floating shelves adorns this fireplace wall, while also viewing the rift white oak reeded bathroom vanity, in a custom warm stain.

Add Interest Other Than Paint Colors
Wall art can be one of the easiest ways to add color and texture. And by wall art, we mean beautiful patterned wallpaper that creates big impact. This guest room also shows a built in inset dresser paired with white wall paneling to break up the sightlines. The below powder room features our favorite throw back paper from William Morris, Pimpernel. Read our recent post on adding color to your home, by adding color to architectural details, such as the baseboard and crown details in the powder room here.
Guest bedroom wallpaper is Cole and Son Florencecourt, paired with Simply White millwork and cabinetry.
