Crowd Sourced Kitchen

When Cambria, one of our favorite partners, asked us to collaborate on a crowd sourced kitchen build, we immediately jumped in. This was one of those projects that didn’t require much consideration. We are so excited about their latest collection release with high hopes of using the new coastal collection. We also knew it would be fun to take a step back in the design process and just create what you were asking for.

Cambria secured several vendor partners from hardware to lighting, custom cabinetry and of course the newly released designs from Cambria. Everyone teamed up to contribute toward a finished product, while creating a social media buzz together. A first time collaborative effort for all.

We launched. Each week we presented a new design trend and the audience voted via Facebook and Instagram. Matt Muenster was the face of the project and created weekly videos with design choices, queuing the audience on the next big decision to make.

Featured paint choices for wall color by Benjamin Moore, A) Oxford White, B) Van Deusen Blue, or C) Mascarpone.

Fireclay Tile selections, A) Herringbone, B) Hexagon, or C) Patterned

This is where we came in with our custom cabinetry. These were the three cabinet designs, A) Matte black, B) White shaker, or C) Gray shaker

The chosen pendant from Filament Lighting.

Over several weeks of voting, the final product was a beautifully designed kitchen voted exclusively through social media. Our contribution was to design and create handcrafted cabinetry, painted in Northern Cliffs by Benjamin Moore. We also supplied the custom floating shelves in a beautiful stained alder wood.

Other chosen design details:

Cambria Quartz: Beaumont™ design

Fireclay Tile: Hexagon backsplash tile

Benjamin Moore: Mascarpone wall color, Northern Cliffs painted cabinetry

Emtek Assa Abloy: Satin Nickel hardware

Filament Lighting: Cage Pendant light

Brizo Faucet: Artesso single handle

Additional collaborations:

GE Monogram Appliances

Rush River Scenic set display/production

Cheers to another successful collaboration. A beautiful kitchen design .. and I think you’ll agree, you did a great job on the selections! Thank you for staying connected and voting along the way. We spoke, you heard, we built.
